Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB now prioritises Right to Choose ADHD and autism assessments. Only a small number of new referrals that meet clinical prioritisation criteria are assessed, and a new triage hub starts from October 2026.
What's changed (September 2026 update)
- New referrals in 2026/27 are triaged using prioritisation criteria.
- From 1 October 2026, a new All-Age Autism and ADHD Single Point of Access and Triage Hub starts in phases. It routes referrals to local services, eligible Right to Choose providers or ADHD medication services.
- Ongoing medication, reviews and starting titration continue for people already diagnosed.
- You should only be actively waiting in one assessment pathway at a time.
What you can do
- Make your referral as clear as possible. Prioritisation depends on clinical need, so describe the impact on your life with real examples. Use the free evidence organiser.
- Read the ICB's FAQs on the new triage hub.
- Use support while you wait, including adult autism and ADHD hubs and children's neurodiversity teams.
